How can I correct my eyeglasses frames?

My reading eyeglasses have been dropped by my nephew, but not serious, the lenses are OK, but the two temples are just not at the same line, the frame was made by metal material, it makes me really uncomfortable as I feel the frame is aslant on my face! I have corrected it for many times with alicates but failed, I don’t want spent money on this piece of problem, but I am really afraid to damage it if I adjust it too much, what can I do now?
