Can my prescription glasses be fixed?

I have bought one pair of prescription glasses from the online optical shop last year and it proved to be quite perfect for both the workmanship and the prescription applied on the lenses. But yesterday i dopped down the glasses on the floor and the filament which used to hold the lenses in the frame broke, can it be fixed at the local shop? or need i to buy a new pair instead?
